Berryclan of the Floral Plains

Post by Mew-Chan on Tue Feb 25, 2014 10:50 pm

A moon has passed since the night which bore many tragedies showed its yellow, full face.
Tensions have greatly risen between Featherclan and Emberclan since the discovery of Glowpaw's body in Featherclan's territory, and thus it is believed that a cold war is fast approaching. Despite how Featherclan denied any knowledge on the reasons for the dead apprentice and even offered that Muddyleaf, who had been caught on Featherclan's territory as well, might have been the suspect, Emberclan remains sternly set on blaming those of the forest.

Not too long after the death of Glowpaw came Clashfang of Featherclan. Though no clear scents were upon his form, Featherclan greatly believed that it was an attempt of revenge from Emberclan, despite how the fiery clan denied even knowing about the warrior's death. Within the current time period, many skirmishes along borders have broken out and threats between rivaling clans further grow.

Yet, worst of them all has been Terraclan, the supposed main suspect of the mass killings prior as they had yet to lose a soul, has now been believed to be making a comeback. Due to the death of her younger brother, Flashstar has been quite grief-stricken and paranoid of all others around. Much to the point to where she believes that all the other clans are targeting the clan of the quarry. Because of the leader's extreme fear for her clanmates, none are allowed to leave the territory and all patrols have been limited to 5+ members per party. Along with this, the medicine cats have been restricted from going to the Moon Meadow for the typical sharing of tongues with Starclan. Most astonishing to the other four clans of Terraclan's sudden change in behavior was how they failed to attend the last Gathering, as they had become even more skittish and wary of the other four after the heated accusations towards the quarry clan during the Leaders' Meet; thus only four battles were fought during the Moon of the Mates and no new couples were made. Many are unsure whether Terraclan's latest actions are helping or hurting their cause.

However, all others aren't well either, as fear has stricken them hard. Only about half a moon ago, the body of Nightwing was found dead close to the back border of Berryclan's territory that reaches off to the farm. Although such allowed the thought that maybe the she-cat had wandered too close to a barn cat's territory to rise among the members, the idea that the murders from many moons past still weighs down heavily upon their thoughts. Without a leader to guide them, Berryclan has become quite melancholy- very similar to Shineclan- and many have believed Starclan has abandoned them for not naming a new leader, Yellowmoon being one of the strongest believers of such a theory.

Along with Berryclan, tragedy and fear have swept through the smallest clan as Shineclan has begun to suffer from an extreme food shortage as the cold seasons lurk closer. However, they are too fearful to seek assistance from their closest ally, Terraclan, to which all the clans have come to understand and respect why they are so timid- after all, they were the only clan to lose a leader during said former killings. And yet, rumors have begun to spread that they have turned to Berryclan, hoping to for an alliance with the larger clan so that they may support each other in the highly anticipated war rising. Another rumor, though much less mentioned and highly ludicrous, is the idea that they two may unite to create a super clan with the assistance the rogues who have been scented around the territories more often and supposedly have been thought to be in cahoots with the clan of flowers.

Even so, despite the pressures which all clans seem to be burdened with, nature has decided against easing up on the cats and resuming pushing full force upon them. Although it is only the middle of Leaffall, illness has already struck the clans strongly as Tinypelt, a new queen of Berryclan, was taken by the deadly Greencough and the rest of the clans are worried that such a sickness may soon spread...

"And how can we even prove that they are truly out there?! Watching over us?!?  If such was the case, then wouldn't our ancestors at least bless us with some sort of sign of what to do now, in our time of greatest need?! Thank you for listening and patronage- Please return to your typical duties, and our evening seminar shall go on as usual." With that, the small cluster of listeners dissipated to return to their daily chores and duties as Yellowmoon leapt from her perch upon the Painted Stone. Such was the routine of every morning of the past moon. The creamy yellow deputy would stand upon her stone colored with the stains of juice from berries and nuts, and belt out her usual babble over how Starclan had left them to themselves, forcing logic behind the mystery which drove bloody holes of despair into the hearts of the Berryclan cats. And her followers would listen to every word, whether it was something repeated or completely new- many seemed blinded by their loyalty to the clan deputy and fear of their ancestors' betrayal to really listen to what the rest of the clan thought of as nonsense. This happened every morning, just as the sun reached middle of the sky, and during every evening, just as the sun begins its descent to the earth and the night sky is colored red and starless.

Sitting pleasantly at the base of her own adopted gathering place, Yellowmoon lightly groomed her lavish tail and gazed absent-mindedly at the faint rings and stippling of gold hidden within her glossy of sunlight-riddled milk. Her golden eyes traveled to the sweet-scented surface of grey colored with splatters and streaks of red, blue, violet, and green and the young she-cat smiled lightly. Studying the surface, she noted that a few new scratches had been etched into its slate-colored surface and gave a content sigh. Even with them gone, life goes on with new birth. I bet Bluebell's kits were showing Tinypet's how to attack and play. They're all growing up so fast. However, her expression hardened at the thought of the husky queen of tabby stripes, still quite fatter than usual from her last birth. Although it was about nearly two moons since she had given birth, her pregnancy weight had yet to leave, and with the burden of having to nurse six kits, the she-cat is constantly eating Borage to keep a solid supply of milk for her brood. However, before the yellow cat's good mood could go sour, a peppy chirp pulled her from her thoughts. "Huh? Oh what was that, Citruspaw?" She smiled as the beaming, young face which grinned at her.

"I saaaaaaaaaaiiiid 'good morning', you big goof!! I liked your morning talk thingy this morning, like usual! I'm so glad Darkhorn lets me have the mornings off of training to listen!!" The pale form of the striped apprentice bounced eagerly as she spoke to her top idol. With her dual colored eyes clamped shut with glee a she grinned, the oblivious she-cat missed the suspicious glance that the deputy sent over her shoulder with a dull,"Uh huh..."

Yellowmoon rose a brow as she caught sight of the shadowy warrior lurking further off across the opposite side of the camp, close to the Ivy Stone. She saw how he caught her yellow gaze for a second with his deep hazel eyes, but quickly pulled away and trotted briskly into the Warriors' den. As I thought- he's not one to argue with his apprentice's beliefs, but he still follows them. Her glance moved slightly where the Ivy Stone rested- the gathering place of those who still lived by the old laws which Bluebell enforced. Hiding behind Pumaclaws for protect because you can't take it yourself. How weak. Yellowmoon may have been declined as the leader of Berryclan, but even with such embarrassment, she still remained firm with her beliefs and capable of standing up for them. Shaking her head, she returned to look at Citruspaw and smiled as she realized the young and energy-full apprentice had been waiting patiently. With a cheery coo, she mused,"Why Citruspaw, you're do quite well with controlling yourself. Good for you- now why don't you run along and tend to the kits' bedding? Surely its messy again by now."

"Of course!!" The pretty young cat of white fur and ginger stripes bounded off towards the Nursery in which the kits were either playing or napping. Maybe I'll get to see my little sisters too!! Oh- Looking over her shoulder, Citruspaw blinked her orange and green eyes and mewed,"I'll see you this evening too!! I'll make sure to finish my chores early so I can attend the meeting!!" Grinning at Yellowmoon's soft smile, she turned her head back and ducked into the milk-scented den's darkness.

~

The indigo gaze of the thick she-cat discreetly followed from the converation of the two small cats of bright colors, then traced after Citruspaw as she moved to the Nursery, and finally trailed her sight back to Yellowmoon. Her brow furrowed as she met the young deputy's gaze for a brief moment before the yellow she-cat stood up and moved to Meteorstar's den. Something was what she did often- the yellow tabby would go into Meteorstar's old den to sleep, and more often than not, cats could say that at some points in the night, they could hear the faintest of sob reverberating through the still nights. Bluebell shook her head loosely and sighed, turning back to the grass before her own wide paws. Even she went in there for some times while Yellowmoon would be out and working on patrols. The den still had a lingering scent- not of Meteorstar specifically, but rather of the many flowers which she often slept and played in. Such scents, however, did bring back memories of the marbled she-cat and her silly antics with her fuzzy best friend.

With a faint groan, she looked up and smiled softly as Peppermint trotted into camp with a hare and a mouse swinging from his clamp maw. At the sight of her eldest kit coming back into camp, a sense of reality flooded over the old queen and she turned to look down at her other side as the sounds of scuffling and grunting became more clear and apparent. She smirked and brought one of her large paws over the squirming body of ash as one of her young daughter was tossed from the fight with her littermates, and as she rolled onto her back, Budkit's green eyes flashed up to peer at her mother's paws and her own grey limbs batted eagerly at Bluebell's tabby paw above her.

Beside them was the snowy and flame colored forms of Petalkit and Grasskit, locked in a knot of battle. The fluffy she-cat was laid on her side and had her brother's leg held tightly in her jaws, and her own leg stuck up and kicking Grasskit in his jaw. Grasskit, on the other paw, had his sister's thick tail clamped in his jaws and had his body wrapped around Petalkit's lower body with his free leg thrashing against the white kitten's flank. However, the pair were pulled apart once Peppermint reached their side, their older half brother sitting with a gruff sigh and using a lanky paw to separate the struggling kits, to which the pair began to attack his defenseless limb with all their eager might. Flicking his lazy gaze up, he watched a Darkhorn gingerly poked his head out of the warrior's den, peered around, and quickly trotted up to where the bustling family sat at the base of the Ivy Stone. He sat and smiled at the cats, waving his fluffy tail towards Petalkit and Grasskit in an attempt to relieve Peppermint of his play session- to which all three kits bolted up and over to the soft, black fluff which twitched and swayed to their amusement. With the youngest ones entertained, the older tom meowed carefully,"So, what are we going to do now? Bluebell?"

Among her clanmates, Shimmeringcoal had sat and listened to Yellowmoon drone on and on and on and on about the circling skepticism of StarClan watching over them- the topic of conversation that several of the Berryclan cats spoke about. The slender feline also had wore the blankest expression in her gaze, a faraway mist that showed her mind was elsewhere. The marbled warrior had been thinking about Flamelight of Featherclan and the fact that she'd only seen him two full moons ago, as she hadn't attended the most recent Gathering.

She snapped out of her daze as she realized the meeting had adjourned and her light golden eyes searched the camp for something to do. The fresh-kill pile was fairly well-stocked, so hunting wasn't completely necessary. Her former apprentice, Bluepaw, was no longer with the clan and she hoped that when the time came she'd be able to mentor one of the kits bouncing about in the nursery.

Well, if she wasn't in Featherclan by then.

Winterpaw padded out of the apprentice's den, her eyes bright and excited. She couldn't wait to train today. Looking around, she tried to find her mentor.

Honeyblossom lay in her nest, and pricked her ears when Citruspaw padded in. Her eyes became soft, as the young cat was her daughter. But of course, she couldn't remeber that at all. She had lost those memories along with her brother Fallkit.

Flickerpaw watched as Yellowmoon jumped down from her perch, taking that as his signal he began to listen properly again. This was his routine every morning- When Yellowmoon called the meeting about how Starclan had abandoned them, he would let the voices fade into background noise and would only take interest if the was something interesting happening such as news of any more murders or the making of an apprentice or warrior. He slowly stood up, and turned to brush past his brother affectionately as he went back towards his den. He could see his brother's eyes were dull too- He didn't like what had happened to the clan either.

Speckledpaw stared blankly at his paws until he felt Flickerpaw brush past him. He looked up with the ghost of a smile etched on his face. For what seemed like the first time in forever, he wasn't cheerful. He wasn't miserable either but he wasn't his usual self. He let out a sigh and got to his paws, scanning the gathered cats for his mentor. Spotting the dark blue grey fur of Slatefur in the crowd, he wound in between the cats and sat down next to him. Putting a smile on his face- Even if it was small, Training at least was still mildly interesting- and prodded his mentor with his paw. "Morning Slatefur. What are we doing today?"

Slatefur sat thinking about the situation his clan was in, he didn't take either side and it made him sad to see such divisions and unhappiness. He was still pondering this when he was shaken out of his reverie by his apprentice's voice.
"Oh yes, of course. Good morning to you, Speckledpaw. Lets get started, do you want to train fighting skills or hunt? Your choice today." the young warrior stood up, glad to have something to do and take his mind of the clan's troubles.

(Sorry Crazy, gotta go to bed now. 'Night guys!)

Twitchpaw let his gaze wonder from Yellowmoon, contemplating her general message as he paced in a nervous circle. He didn't really believe in her nonsense, but that didn't stop his over active mind from analyzing whatever snippets he happened to catch as he carried out his morning routine.
Just as every morning, he contemplated the murders. The murders haunted him, debuting in his dreams and plaguing his waking thoughts. The very idea sent a shiver down young Twitchpaw's spine. He desperately scrambled through his thoughts, trying to whip up a distraction. He could already feel his breathing becoming rapid as he dwelled on the possibility of more deaths. More deaths, but whose? His? His friends?
This was his distraction. Friends. What friends? The apprentices were nice...well, they weren't rude, but he didn't really consider any of them friends. The warriors were his superiors, and they treated him accordingly, so they weren't friends.
With a new thought bouncing around in his head, Twitchpaw continued his nervous pacing.

Reggy had given up on waiting on the border and headed further into the territory. He managed to make a decent sort of den there, and he'd been waiting for the perfect time to talk to the strange cats of the forest. He'd even torn his ear on a bramble! He'd gotten consistantly thinner over the last three dish-cycles, and he felt hungry more often then not, but he didnt mind. It was better than never knowing what it was like.

Today was the day. As Reginald set off from his nest, he caught a mouse. he had to fore himself not to eat the rodent, instead walking along and following the scents until they were strong. he saw cats sitting in the forest, and he called out around the mouse. "Hello? Hello! My name is reginald, and I--" He stepped down into a hole; tumblung forward and landing face first into the puddle. He sat up, shaking the water off his ears. "Oh, bother." He mumbled. "Now i'm all wet. ick."

(It's Fine Luxray, I'm going to bed soon too c:)

Speckledpaw was looking at the others when his mentor responded. Upon hearing what Slatefur had to say he began to ponderover the choices in his head. He could hunt for his clan and help feed them or he could learn to defend himself and his clan even better in case anyone attacked. "Can we do some battle training and then have a contest to see who can catch the most prey?" He asked hopefully grinning at his mentor.

Burningflame angrily stuffed herbs into the cubby, for a moment, the gentle, mild she-cat's temper flared as bright as her russet coat. She wished she could drown out Yellowmoon's words. Calm yourself. The medicine cat tamed her anger just a little to save the herbs from being torn up to shreds in fury. It was the middle of Leaf-fall and she dared not waste any after Tinypelt died from Greencough. Hearing Flickerpaw's footsteps outside as he neared the den, Burningflame composed herself. While she would've gladly forbidden her apprentice from visiting Yellowmoon's ridiculous lectures, she felt it'd be wrong to do so. It was up to him. But she - she would not tolerate any of the nonsense herself. Of course, she didn't say that to Yellowmoon, although she did drop a hint of her feelings.

"Was there anything interesting today?" Burningflame asked, a little more icily than she had wanted it to come out. But she had expressed her opinion about the lectures very clearly to her apprentice, so it shouldn't be a big surprise to Flickerpaw. She focused on noting the supply levels of all the herbs, her cold blue gaze nearly burning holes where she was looking.

"Careful with them" Flickerpaw added mildly as he looked down at the herbs that she was handling. He sat down with a yawn. "I don't think so- I tuned out once she started on Starclan abandoning us. No more murders as far as we know though". He rubbed a paw wearily over his face before asking, "How's Bluebell coping with Tinypelt's kits? Or have you not had the time to check on them yet?" He lifted his gaze to meet his mentors, "And what do you want me to do today? Do we need to go out to try and find herbs?". He paused to let her answer his bombardment of questions that he had given her.

"I am being very careful," Burningflame said coolly, gritting her teeth. "Well, at least nobody else has been killed yet. That's the first piece of good news I've heard in a long time." She tucked the last leaf into its correct place before turning to Flickerpaw, her haggard blue eyes pools of weariness now that the anger was gone. "I haven't had a chance to see them yet; I wanted to wait until Yellowmoon's lecture was over before I stepped out of my den." She made a face. "Why don't you come with me to check on Bluebell right now before we head out. I want to make one last sweep of the territory to see if there are any herbs left that are mature enough to gather, alright?"

Flickerpaw smiled at his mentor's response to his comment about being careful. He, of course, knew that she would be careful with them, especially as it was leaf bare and the herbs were running low. "A long time being a moon and a half?... It does seem like longer though" He mused to himself quietly. "Yeah i'll come with you. The clan can hopefully manage without us for a little bit when we go out for herbs" He got back to his paws.

Pumaclaws, like Bluebell, had refused to listen to Yellowmoon's words. Despite being a former kittyet, even the blue warrior knew Starclan had not abandoned them. Perhaps testing but not abandoning them. Every morning the warrior took it upon herself to sleep in and ignore the young deputy. She had little experience and was spouting off about things she could hardly understand. Besides, it took Pumaclaws a while to awaken now a days, so she took her time during Yellowmoon's nonsense. Now that the meeting had been finished, the warrior had no choice but to start moving.

Sighing, Pumaclaws picked herself up and slowly dragged herself out of her den. After her failure against Cherrystar, Pumaclaws had been in Burningflame's den for a full week. Her leg had been acting up and it was not doing her well. The pain was coming back more and more lately. It was very dull pain and nothing she couldn't handle, but when she was teaching Fruitpaw, if she landed wrong, he would have to drag her back to camp. These sort of issues were happening more frequently. It was good that he was using her weakness against her, that's what she wanted. Unfortunately she couldn't really fight back after it.

Today was going to be one of those days where she struggled to move. Pumaclaws could already tell. The blue warrior limped from the den as best she could and made a beeline to the Medicine Cat's den. She knew what she needed and lately, as not to disturb the Medicine Cat, she just went in and took what she needed. "Morning." Pumaclaws called as she limped into the den. "Just came to get some poppy seeds." The warrior had enough knowledge on her herbs that she knew what she needed. Burningflame was no fool in that. The two cats had learn herbs along side each other when Pumaclaws was first injured.

"Good morning," Burningflame replied to Pumaclaws, feeling a twang of uneasiness and guilt rustle in her stomach. The silver warrior's leg's conditions were worsening and Burningflame couldn't do much about it. "Go ahead." She nodded towards the cubbies, though she didn't specifically point it out as she knew Pumaclaws was quite familiar with the Medicine Cats' Den. "Flickerpaw, why don't you run ahead and go check on Bluebell, in case she needs something?"

After giving her apprentice directions, the russet medicine cat turned her blue gaze back to Pumaclaws. "Do you need anything else before Flickerpaw and I head out?" She asked, wanting to make sure the warrior was as comfortable as possible, although with her leg, the most comfortable she got was probably worse than laying down on the rough, stony grounds of Shineclan territory to sleep.

Smiling at his apprentice's enthusiasm, Slatefur nodded to the young grey tom then began to make his way over to the training hollow, signalling to Speckledpaw to follow. As he left the clearing he caught an unfamiliar scent. Stopping suddenly, he lifted his head and scented the air, his hackles rising.
"Speckledpaw, can you smell that? I think it might be a rogue." he hissed to the younger cat in a hushed but urgent tone and looked round carefully to see if he could spot any sign of the intruder. What with the recent killings he didn't want to take any chances, especially not this close to camp.

Speckledpaw smiled and got up, following after his mentor with short bouncy strides. He pulled up short when he saw Slatefur stopping and he sniffed carefully as he moved his head. His light thick fur was fluffing up and bristling. He dropped into a crouch and began to creep forwards to try and catch sight of the other cat that they could scent.

A white paw slammed down, squashing a crisp orange maple leaf as it fluttered to the ground. Shimmeringcoal let loose an audible sigh as she lifted her forepaw, shaking it to loosen the debris sticking to her fur. A gentle breeze stirred through camp, leaves floating lazily on the neutral wind. It may have been the middle of Leaf-fall, but the weather had yet to drop to the colder temperature.

The breeze did carry no humidity, a sure promise of a cold front to come. But for now, the temperature was neither too cold or too hot and leaves had begun to carpet their territory. Just the other day, Shimmeringcoal had been chasing a mouse down one of their hills and had slipped on the gathering pile of leaves and tumbled the rest of the way down. Fortunate for the mouse.

Reggy pricked his ears. Voices!! he felt his excitement rise, and he called out. "Hello? Is anyone there? I-I Mean you no harm, I just wish to talk..." He looked about, forcing himself to keep his hackles flat. The last thing he wanted to do was appear as a threat. He raised his tail high in a friendly gesture, ears pricked to catch a reply.

Slatefur spun round to face the voice, but when he saw the cat it came from- or more specifically, what was round the cat's neck- his eyes widened in surprise. A kittypet?! Out here?! He frowned. That explained the cat's naivety in just walking into their territory and announcing himself, like he expected to be welcome. I should probably chase him off, but... I've got to admit I'm impressed by his audacity. After all, he's come all this way and I'm more than a little curious about his reasons. Settling into a slightly less hostile pose he eyed the newcomer up. He didn't look dangerous, and he certainly didn't sound it. Slatefur was pretty sure this kittypet was no murderer.
Making up his mind he called out to the new cat "Well, I suppose we might as well hear what you have to say." Then the blue-grey warrior turned to his apprentice, still keeping half an on the kittypet. "Speckledpaw! Go back to camp and fetch-" He was about to say 'the leader', but he caught himself just in time. Mouse dung, this would have to come at a time like this! Who do I ask for?! Bluebell? Pumaclaws? Yellowmoon? Whatever I say it'll sound like I'm picking a side! He growled uder his breath in exasperation. Of course, Burningflame! "-Burningflame, go fetch Burningflame." he finished. As medicine cat she was the last ranking cat who's position no-one could dispute. He thanked Starclan for the idea and hoped his apprentice hadn't picked up on the pause and realised what it meant. The clan couldn't show weakness in front of this outsider.
Shaking his head and facing the kittypet squarely, he put on a commanding tone and tried to cover up for the slip. "So, kittypet, what's your name? And what's so important you had to come here to talk us about it?"

Re: Berryclan of the Floral Plains

Flickerpaw padded outside, calling over his shoulder "I'll meet you at the entrance when your ready to go Burningflame" He went across the camp quickly, pausing to grab some prey from the small pile of fresh-kill. Ducking inside her smiled cheerfully at queens and kits. "Morning everyone- I've brought breakfast"

"Aww, Leaving me out of the fun" Speckledpaw grumbled, but he didn't protest much more as he turned around and scampered quickly in the direction that he had just come from. He had heard the pause and knew that he was deciding the best cat to deal with this since Yellowmoon was talking nonsense mostly. He skidded to a halt as he entered camp, ducking into the den that Flickerpaw had just left. "Burningflame" He panted, attempting to catch his breath. "Me and Slatefur found a Kittypet and i was sent to get you..."

(Just to let ya'll know, Berryclan only has a small thicket of trees near the back of the territory, close to the pond. No where else on the territory is there a forest, thus no leaves. Those would only be threatening close to the Featherclan border, which most are too timid to go near at this point. ^^')

"Hiya Honeyblossom!! How are the kits today?" Citruspaw mewed eagerly as she trotted closer to the pretty queen's soft form. The young apprentice's body of ginger and white glowed brightly in the dimness of the Nursery. With her dual colored eyes beaming at her mother, she mused cheerily,"I'm here to clean out all the old bedding. I suppose I'll start with Bluebell's nest since she's already out in the camp." Moving over to the extra large nest meant to hold the large she-cat and the six kits whom she mothered comfortably, the hefty amount of moss nearly dragged the tiny apprentice down as she attempted to take it away. She waved her tail to Flickerpaw as she dragged out of the Nursery past her denmate.

(Sorry for the short post, you guys...)

Just moments after Flickerpaw padded off to check on the queens, his brother skidded in, short of breath. Burningflame blinked, for a moment afraid someone had gotten hurt. She was relieved as Speckledpaw reported that it was a kittypet. It wasn't wonderful news, but it was better than an injury as she wanted to make the herbs last as long as possible. Ah, so I'm not the only one that doesn't trust Yellowmoon. I'm not being disloyal . . . it's just what's best right now. She knew she should trust the deputy, but she couldn't bring herself to do so. Burningflame shook her head to clear the thought. "If you need help with anything, tell Flickerpaw," the red she-cat said to Pumaclaws, though she doubted the warrior would have any problems taking care of herself. Burningflame briskly trotted out of her den, turning her head to look at Speckledpaw. "Show me the way," she said, pausing for him to go ahead and lead. Hopefully, it didn't take too long and she'd be back before Flickerpaw was done checking on Bluebell. Even if he came out before she came back, he'd be able to figure it out.

Honeyblossom looked up. "Oh, hello Citruspaw! They are fine, thank you. How are you? Is training fun?" She asked, sad that she couldn't remember her own parents. She sighed, knowing that either way the queen would soon have a new litter of kits to look after. Hopefully one which didn't end in tragedy, like her first did.

"My name is Reginald. I've grown tired of my life as a House cat. Its boring, and much too easy. I heard tales about the cats of the forest and I've made it my dream to be a part of them." He stood tall and proud, but kept a friendliness in his tone. "I caught a mouse as a gift. Even I know that food is tough to find in these times." He twitched an ear.
